Vinyasa (Basic & Power)
Power Vinyasa Flow Yoga is a powerful, energetic form of yoga where students fluidly move from one pose to the next while connecting their breathing to their movements. This type of yoga is taught in a heated studio which makes it a vigorous and revitalizing form of physical fitness. It incorporates strength, flexibility, balance, cardio and physical and mental stamina in one session. Prepare to sweat! Baron Baptiste, the founder of this form of yoga, describes this practice as “the perfect blend of sweat and serenity.”
Vinyasa meaning, “flow” or “to move without resistance,” incorporates interval and cross-training exercises to challenge both the aerobic and anaerobic systems of the body. As your body adapts, it is important to vary the types, intensity and duration of the exercises. Power Vinyasa yoga incorporates regular sequences that become familiar to students, but incorporates variations to modify, intensify, or challenge the body by altering the pace or duration of poses, and the frequency that they are repeated.
Candlelight Yin
Yin yoga is a complementary practice to the more dynamic vinyasa style you've grown to love. In yin, poses are held passively for longer periods of time in order to access and open the deep layers of connective tissue in the body. The room temperature of a yin class is cooler (about 80-85 degrees), you may want to bring an extra layer, like a sweatshirt, in case you get chilly.
Physically, yin restores and maintains the natural mobility of the joints. Yin also enhances the body's energetic flow and supports emotional equilibrium. This practice emphasizes stillness and silence, allowing for a meditative experience that will reduce anxiety, tension and stress. Unlock your body and free your mind!
Yoga Nidra
The perfect balance of relaxation, half Yin and half Yoga Nidra. Nidra is yogic sleep, which is the perfect antidote to the chronic stress or pressure many experience in our daily lives. Students will be guided through layers of consciousness and connection while being offered something that seems more precious now than ever - space to relax. Yin and Yoga Nidra combined create a perfect restoration and balance.
Far-Infared Heat
While most heated yoga studios use forced air to heat their rooms, Radiant Yoga uses FAR infrared heat, which provides a therapeutic, deep penetrating, detoxifying form of heat which expels toxins, heavy metals and pollutants from the body, providing significant benefits.
FAR infrared heat promotes a stronger immune system, better cardiovascular health, and speeds up the healing process in soft tissue injuries such as tears, pulls, and sprains. As a beauty treatment, the penetrating heat of far infrared heat therapy works wonders by reducing the appearance of crow’s feet, fine lines, and wrinkles. In addition to helping heal scars, wounds, and cuts, it also smoothes skin’s texture, lessens coarseness, and reduces pore size.
FAR infrared heat therapy is a natural way to aid aches and pains from arthritis, fibromyalgia and other health-related disorders. Providing relief to people suffering from chronic injury, illness or fatigue, far infrared heat is often the first step in helping them get their life back.
