Touch and intimacy are basic human needs. Join Kailey Hull and Sam Pickering Pick in this 20 hour hands-on workshop where you will learn the basic principles of how anatomy and alignment work together in each pose. This is a participation-based training where you will learn through giving and receiving assists. Brief discussions on basic skeletal anatomy, the lines of energy in the body during yoga poses, how to evaluate a pose for assistance, what makes a supportive assist experience, and how to effectively & safely assist a student will support you as you explore the art of assisting.
Whether you can see yourself as an assistant or not, a training like this builds confidence and transforms the connection to your own yoga practice and your community. Upon workshop completion graduates will have the opportunity to assist any of Radiant’s Yoga’s scheduled classes. Those interested in assisting class regularly will receive an unlimited yoga membership. Attendance is required for both weekends in all four sessions (20 hours total).
