Moving Mindfully Through The New Year w/Emily Robinson

It has become common practice in our Western World to make resolutions at the beginning of the year to improve upon our lives. Many of these resolutions fade away as the days go by. Perhaps because we come from a place thinking we need to fix something or change ourselves. We are rarely served when we think we need to be fixed or changed to find completion. We are complete and whole stepping into each day. A softer and kinder approach may be found with Sankalpa. This ancient tradition of creating a resolve before any practice, meditation or beginning of our day will be incorporated into a 90 minute New Year’s Day Vinyasa Class at Radiant Yoga. Coming from a place of our feeling body and out of our head Sankalpa allows us to create the life we are meant to live. While allowing us to embrace and enjoy the intricacies of our daily lives. Sankalpa asks for repetition to mindfully transform our lives physically, emotionally and spiritually.

Kalpa means to vow or promise, San refers to the highest truth. Sankalpa is a vow and a commitment for you to bring a strong commitment into the New Year. Sankalpa is living your highest truth every day and through the practice of yoga finding out what is most important to you. We have ample opportunity to lift ourselves and others up to create a kinder more mindful approach to each day. This practice will offer insight on staying true to you and how you will choose to move, speak and bring more intention into 2019. Please join your Radiant family on New Year’s as we resolve and commit to moving mindfully and with love each day on earth.

Stories to Tell – A Writing Workshop w/Natalie Martinez

Everyone has a story to tell. Everyone is a writer. At some point we have all taken pen to paper in an effort to document a
memory, to make a list, or to share our deepest emotions. This workshop holds space for discovery, release and healing through
the practice of writing. We will use meditation, breath work and prompts to get the creativity started, and then we will write our
hearts out.
Writing can be a powerful extension of yoga. It is meant to restore clarity and self-confidence. Come and explore the gifts of this expression, and learn tools for how to find your voice as a writer, with the guidance of Natalie Martinez.

No experience is needed at all. Dress comfortably, bring a journal, and your favorite pen.

Remember. Everyone has a story to tell, and everyone is a writer. I believe it, and I think you will too.

Vision Board Brunch with your Radiant Community

Are you ready for a powerful year of manifestation? Be THE leading manifestor in your own life. This workshop introduces the fun and highly effective concept of a functional Vision Board, which is a collection of images and words that speak directly to what you seek to create in your life. A vision board is collage representing things you would like to attract to your life. Vision boards can focus on something specific, like career, love life, or goals for the year. Maybe a yoga pose you want to find strength in? Or, you can make a board that encompasses general life desires. This will be even more magical creating your vision board within your community. Trust the magic of creating the life you want with your community and friends at Radiant who already believe good things will come to you in 2018!

A light brunch will be served to keep your creativity flowing.

Meditative Slo Flow Prenatal/Postnatal Yoga – Starting 11/9!

Pregnancy is a Sacred Journey.  A journey of growth and becoming. A journey of Life.

Starting from preconception to postpartum, each woman is writing her own story of the life(s) growing internally within her.  No two stories are alike, nor ever will be.

It is a time when not only does a woman’s body transform physically, both internally and externally, but also her heart begins to transform, emotionally and spiritually.

Femininity and Motherhood join together to prepare each woman for the amazingness of surrendering her body to the process of growth and birth. And with so much input, advice, stories, and expectations that bombard pregnant women these days, finding sacred space to slow down, maybe even stop, and reconnect to your body, your Baby, your breath, is very much needed.  As a Doula, I understand the importance of connection during pregnancy, during labor, and postpartum.

This meditative Slo Flow based prenatal/postnatal class is specifically modified for women who desire to maintain balance, strength, and endurance throughout pregnancy without compromising intensity. Through safe and fluid movements, this rhythmic class will provide comfort and ease some of the prenatal symptoms commonly experienced by moms to be, prepare expecting mothers for all stages of labor, and strengthen the body for a faster and more efficient postnatal recovery. This yoga class is a journey designed to provide mothers and mothers to be with a deeper connection to mind, body, and breath during this profound and wonderful experience of motherhood.

Deeply Rooted – A Holy Yoga Practice, Thursdays 7:30-8:30 pm

Deeply Rooted Holy Yoga is for everyone. Come meditate, breathe, worship and move through an abundantly grace-filled class.

Holy Yoga creates an environment to connect more intimately with God through a beautiful practice of breath and movement to contemporary and Christian music. There is often a misunderstanding that yoga is a religion, it is not. Yoga is a spiritual discipline, much like prayer, fasting and meditation. Yoga has the capacity to enhance our personal beliefs and faith.

Kundalini Yoga w/Hannah Zackney – 12/23

Sunday, December 23rd, the 4th Sunday of every month from 4:30-5:45 pm
Love without trust is impossible. If you break promises to yourself you will destroy your own trust. You must trust yourself before you can fully love anyone else.
Kundalini Yoga has taught me to trust my instincts, intuition and encouraged me to accept and know myself in a way that was previously unknown to me. Kundalini yoga offers endless tools to enhance this process. It will strengthen the heart chakra. It will build courage and resilience. It will wake you up. It has been said that a student cannot remain the same when they practice Kundalini Yoga. It will awaken the energy of consciousness, shed light on our self-imposed limitations and invites us to trust our intuitive mind. Kundalini will create dramatic, lasting changes in your life very quickly.
You will:
  • Learn the history, purpose, benefits and origins of Kundalini Yoga
  • Experience a kriya (a specific set of exercises with particular breath work in a particular order to achieve a specific outcome)
  • Experience a Kundalini meditation
  • Understand the power & grace of this practice
Sat Nam! (Truth is my (and your) Identity)
